News vom 16. Mai 2018: Mit dem Update 1.0.7 wurden die offenen und geschlossenen Crews in "Sea of Thieves" eingeführt, aber das neue Feature hat für reichlich Ärger gesorgt. Rare musste Notfall-Wartungsarbeiten an den Servern durchführen und aufgrund der Performance wurden vorerst die offenen und geschlossenen Crews entfernt.
Damit soll die Stabilität des Online-Gameplays gewährleistet werden. Rare beobachtet momentan die Performance des Spiels und will die Features so schnell wie möglich wieder freischalten. Wie lange das dauern wird, haben die Entwickler allerdings nicht verraten.
